The new year started yersterday.
My family and I went to Hakodate Hachimangu Shrine on the 1st of January to hope our good fortune and health.

I have never seen the following type of Shinkansen (bullet train) before.
This photo was taken at Sendai station yesterday. According to the characters painted on the side of its body (E514-6), this train seems to be the E5 series Shinkansen that has been put into Tohoku Shinkansen.
It's just like a duckbill :-).

I went on a motorcycle ride yesterday, when I saw the top of Mt. Chokai covered with snow.
The color contrast between the snow and autumn leaves was beautiful :-).

I bought an iPhone5, and it came with a free gift as follows.
This is a silver strap in the shape of Shirato Jiro (a white dog). I'm happy to get this, but iPhone5 has no hole for hanging a strap !
